MSR Finishes Strong at Loretta Lynn’s
Corona, CA (August 10, 2011) – The 2011 Loretta Lynn Amateur National Championship is all said and done, and all of us here at MSR would like to congratulate our riders for their efforts they put in this year! We realize it’s a feat in itself just to qualify and make the trip to the most prestigious Amateur event in the world.
MSR would like to send out a big congratulation to Chase Sexton for putting three solid motos together in the 85 (9-11) stock class and bringing home the championship! Chase rode great all week and handled the pressure well going into the third moto knowing he had a shot at the championship. He also had a top 5 finish secured in his other class 85 (9-11) mod but bike problems struck in his final moto, which dropped him out of contention. Chase wasn’t the only MSR rider to have a spot on the podium either, Austin Politelli took runner up honors in the Open Pro class along with Darian Sanayei who took 2nd in the 85 (12-14) stock class. Darian also rode great in the 85 (12-14) mod class as well, just missing the podium with a 4th place overall. We can’t forget about Sam Landry who put three good motos together in the College Boy class to earn a spot on the podium with a 3rd overall. Derek Drake struggled with a few crashes but still rode good bringing home a 4th and 5th in the 65 (7-11) mod and 65 (10-11) stock classes. Aaron Plessinger put some solid motos together for a 5th overall in the highly competitive Schoolboy 1 class. Joey Savatgy had great speed all week and showed he could run up front by taking a moto win and a couple other podium finishes, but bike problems hindered his chances of taking home a championship.
MSR would again like to thank every one of our riders that made the trip to Loretta Lynn’s this year and performed at such a high level of competition.
